BACKWAITERS

A back wait is responsible for assisting Captain/Front Waiter and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area. This role involves clearing and setting tables, bread service, refilling supplies, and ensuring a remarkable dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Table Greet: Responsible for bread and water service.
• Table Maintenance: Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave. Remove used dishes, silverware, and glassware. Wipe down tables and chairs to ensure cleanliness.
• Restocking: Replenish supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments. Ensure that all items are stocked and ready for use.
• Customer Assistance: Assist servers with delivering food and drinks to tables. Provide support to guests as needed, including refilling water glasses or addressing minor requests.
• Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors and surfaces. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Dishwashing: May be responsible for washing dishes, glassware, and utensils as needed.
• Team Support: Work collaboratively with waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service and a positive dining experience.
• Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment. Adhere to health regulations and proper food handling practices.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not always required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Physical stamina to handle tasks such as lifting and carrying items, and standing for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced and potentially noisy environment.
• May involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
