Blazerjobs is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistantfor the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, onsite position is based in a vibrant and supportive school district in Brentwood, CA, near Stockton. As an SLPA, you will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologiststo support students' communication needs, helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings.
- Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by SLPs.
- Document student progress towards goals and maintain thorough records.
- Prepare therapy materials and assist with classroom activities.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- Valid SLPA license in the state of California.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
