Position Overview :
The BMT Registered Nurse position is open at a renowned medical center located in Denver, CO. The facility is known for its advanced care and has been recognized for its high-quality patient care and safety standards. The center offers a wide range of services, including the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute, which provides top-notch care for patients facing blood cancers.

Responsibilities :

Oversee and direct the care of BMT/Oncology patients. Provide care for blood and marrow transplant patients, patients with hematologic/oncologic disorders, and other patients meeting BMT admissions criteria. Serve as the primary nurse, ensuring well-coordinated patient care. Administer and manage chemotherapy/biotherapy, including investigational protocols. Handle management of patients with radiation implants, central venous access devices, spinal drains, and more. Participate in bone marrow biopsy and aspiration, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and other procedures. Ensure patient care aligns with the mission of the medical center.

Qualifications :

Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse; BLS – Healthcare provider. ACLS required within 9 months. ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card required within the first 9 months of hire. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. At least one year of acute care experience is preferred. Strong communication, critical thinking, and team management skills.

Additional Information :

Shift: 7P - 7A (Only Night Shift Available) The unit primarily sees patients with Leukemia, Lymphomas, Various Auto Immune Disorders, MS, etc.

Compensation :
