Summer EarthView Wrangler

Bridgewater, United States Bridgewater State University Full time

EarthView Wranglers work to support Project EarthView, an educational outreach program of the Department of Geography and CASE. EarthView is a 20-foot, inflatable globe that serves as a portable geography classroom. It is used in dozens of schools and public venues throughout southern New England each year, bringing geography enrichment to 11,000 people each year, all in small groups. Details of the program are at www.bridgew.edu/EarthView.

Wranglers travel with the faculty coordinators to each school location, helping to set up, take down, and maintain the globe. Wranglers coordinate the timing of classes entering and exiting the program and provide general assistance to the program leaders and participants. Wranglers must be available all day on Fridays during BSU semesters. Hours vary according to the location and schedule of schools visited. Other work days are arranged in advance during summer months. Some evening work is available but not required. Successful Wranglers must be punctual, responsible, patient, flexible, and physically able to help move heavy objects. All majors are invited to apply
