Overview:

The Maintenance Technician (Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) is responsible for keeping facility operations, machinery and equipment in good repair to manufacturer specifications. Pay Range: $27 - $30+/hour DOE

Current Hours: Mon-Thurs 5:00am - 3:30pm (some OT on Fridays possible, depending on work load and production needs)

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect machinery for defects, replace faulty parts, and fabricate replacements as needed.
  • Assist in the removal and installation of equipment and the setup of new machinery.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, filters, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of machine operations and maintenance intervals.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to CMMS schedule.
  • Install electrical and air connections for machinery.
  • Utilize man-lifts and lift trucks as needed.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical and electrical components.
  • Operate machining equipment for fabrication of machine parts.
  • Install piping systems for air, water, and gas.
  • Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and lockout-tag out procedures.
  • Manage repair parts inventory and initiate purchase requisitions.
  • Collaborate on plans to enhance operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance area.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Understanding of production equipment and its impact on product quality.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and computer operations.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
  • Preferred experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in using man-lifts and lift trucks.
  • Teamwork skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
