SHIFT: 7A-3P CERT: BLS CSTMISC: Call every other day and every other weekendDURATION: 13WKS

OTHER: Please make sure candidates submitted are really interested and ready to start.Under the direction and supervision of the registered professional nurse, the OR Technician provides and assists in the care and maintenance of instruments trays for the Operating Room procedures, performs surgical scrub assistance, performs and participates in activities relating to maintenance supplies and instrument sterilizations process in Central Supply.

SPECIAL SKILLS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma, graduate of an accredited LPN Program. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program with current certification. Previous experience preferred 1-year minimum. Maintenance of annual requirements set forth by hospital policy, including policy, including but not limited to: BLS, Fire and Safety, Infection Control, Body Mechanics, Patient Rights/ Confidentiality. Meets the minimum physical ability standards as set forth by requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift or assist in lifting client from bed to chair to standing or vice versa. Must be able to respond quickly in an emergent situation. Must be able to communicate orally in an emergent situation. Must be able to use stairs in an emergent situation. Must be able to walk, carry semi heavy equipment and reach overhead. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with clients or associates.
