Murray, United States Intermountain Healthcare Full time

Job Description

:This position functions as both a Patient Care Tech (PCT) and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). A Patient Care Tech functions as a clinical support partner assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. A Health Unit Coordinator, under the direction of nursing leadership, facilitates unit organization and patient care by assisting in the coordination of patient, nursing, physician and other health care provider office and clerical activities.

The Primary Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Lehi is Level 3B (Surgical) NICU. Much like our sister unit in SLC, we serve fragile newborns from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Nevada, covering one of the largest geographic areas of any children’s hospitals in the nation. We offer amazing education in the areas of Respiratory, Surgical, Neurological and VLBW and care for the variety of patients we see. There are many opportunities for advancement and learning here. Our NICU follows PCH mission “The Child First and Always” making the safety and healing of our NICU babies our central focus. We foster a culture of collaboration, clinical excellence and psychological safety and teamwork. We strongly believe in caring for each other, as we care for our patients.

Our Lehi NICU will be opening in February with 8 beds, with plans for expansion and is hiring for a PCT/HUC CNA that will function as a unit clerk working directly with families and other NICU caregivers. They will also have responsibilities in managing NICU equipment and supplies. We offer rotating position (days and nights) or straight night shifts. Full time and part time positions are available. Orientation will be completed at PCH NICU in SLC.

If you are seeking to join a highly engaged team of caregivers who work together to provide excellent care for our NICU babies, this may be the right place for you
