Most fast food restaurants barely go the first mile with their food & service, but we desire to always go the second mile. Dwarf House is extra special because we offer heritage food items that Truett Cathy served at his original restaurant (started in 1946), as well as some southern favorites like macaroni & cheese, collard greens, and other delicious sides and food items. We also offer our signature full-service section of the restaurant where guests can eat their favorite Chick-fil-A and Dwarf House products while being cared for by a server and dining on china.


We consider each role at Dwarf House as more than just a job; it’s an opportunity. No experience is required for our entry- level team members, and we will train you to offer world-class service to our guests or how to cook our delicious menu items, including our signature hand-breaded chicken. As a Back of the House - Grill Team Member, you will support the Front of the House by assembling “cold” menu items quickly and accurately, and ensure each guest leaves with a smile.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Full time availability
  • Follows food safety requirements
  • Prepares and cooks all products according to established procedures
  • Keep the grill neat, clean and orderly at all times
  • Efficiently create prepped “hot” menu item that meet Chick-fil-A standards
  • Keep up-to-date with new products
  • Wash dishes 
  • Work safely around hot equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Food Safety Director
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training on food service
  • Demonstrates knowledge of recipes and other cooking requirements
  • Maintains adequate stock of supplies
  • Cleans and sanitizes various areas of the restaurant, including equipment and counters, floors, trash bins, and parking lot
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by restaurant management
Must be at least 16 years of age upon hire date * Must be eligible to work in the United States * Must have a source of reliable transportation * Ability to handle all equipment, pans, pots, navigating shelving both high and low * Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills required * Works in hot, noisy and fast paced environment * Mobility required during shifts * Must work well under pressure * Must be able to respond to changes or edits to orders quickly and efficiently
