Barn Manager

Seeking a Barn and Equine Care Manager with experience and ability to perform the following responsibilities:

Recognize basics of horse health and administering equine first aid (including IV and IM injections when needed) and front line diagnosis of health issues. Checking and maintaining tack and equipment. Oversee grooms/handlers to ensure facility aisles, stalls, horses, gear, stable exterior and grounds are looking clean and presentable at all times. Assist with ordinary labor, and coordinate professionals (vet, farrier, dentist, etc.) that perform work at the stable. Assist Fox Hill customers when needed. Contribute to exercising horses when necessary. Administer medication and supplements to horses in accordance with vet recommendations and horses needs including regular worming and other preventative care. Maintain records (feed, vaccine, deworming, etc) & schedules as required. Report back to management with questions & concerns on all activities (typical & non-typical) contributing in a sharing and productive manner. Manager should be an experienced rider with knowledge of horse health, exercise and nutrition needs. The job also involves providing coverage for the office to respond to messages, coordinate scheduling and receive customer payments.
