Campus Title Digital Accessibility Analyst Department Computing & Information Technology Position Summary This is an exciting opportunity for a new college graduate or someone with experience who wants to grow their skillsSUNY Geneseo invites applications for a new Digital Accessibility Analyst to join its department of Computing & Information Technology. This position helps provide full accessibility and inclusion for all students in their use of digital resources and technologies.

Appropriate training will be provided to learn accessibility tools with the college’s official website, course materials, and other sites. A successful candidate will be able to work on a highly collaborative technical team to solve problems and provide excellent support to the college community.

Flexible hybrid work arrangements may be an option subject to NYS, SUNY, and Geneseo rules, regulations, and policies. Required Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree OR an Associate’s degree with professional experience with digital accessibility by the time of appointment Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and client facing training and support Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working environment Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2-3 years professional experience  Training in Universal Design  Knowledge of Section 508 requirements for IT software and hardware Experience testing electronic documents (Microsoft Office, Google, PDF, etc.) for Section 508 compliance Certification in Accessibility from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, HTML, and accessibility compliance testing Experience working effectively with several clients or project teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment License/Certification Other Skills Required Supervision Received The Digital Accessibility Analyst reports to the Director of Educational Technology in the Computing & Information Technology department.
