Responsibilities

1. Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make
AMH the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees.
2. Collects and/or updates all information, via computerized hospital information
system, in order to accurately complete hospital registrations.
3. Enters patient orders/charges into the computer to ensure proper billing. Provides
clerical functions to support operations of department.
4. Answers phone calls, makes appointments appropriately, and refers calls of a
medical nature to the Phone Nurse. Takes and delivers phone messages accurately
and efficiently.
5. Assists Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistance with
examinations and diagnostic procedures using appropriate skills to provide
quality patient care.
6. Helps maintain a safe, neat and clean patient care environment to facilitate safe
and effective patient care including: preparing instruments for sterilization in
CSR, maintain exam rooms etc.
7. Orders clinical/office supplies (or reports need to order) to maintain inventory to
facilitate smooth operation of the office.
8. Complies with all AMH policies.
9. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

A. Experience: Previous medical office experience preferred; computer skills preferred.
B. Education and Training: High School Graduate or equivalent. Prefer Graduate of Medical Office Assistants
program.
C. License Certification and Registration: Drivers License required for other sites. Current CPR required.
D. Other Requirements: Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with people. Familiarity
with medical office procedure.

Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.
