Position Overview:
As a Mitigation Technician at Servpro, you will play a crucial role in responding to water damage emergencies and helping clients restore their properties to their original state. You will be responsible for assessing damage, implementing restoration procedures, and ensuring a safe and efficient cleanup process.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency water damage calls to assess the situation and provide immediate assistance to mitigate further damage.
  2. Damage Assessment: Evaluate the extent of water damage, including water source identification, moisture levels, and affected areas, using industry-standard equipment.
  3. Water Extraction: Perform water extraction using pumps, vacuums, and other specialized equipment to remove excess water from affected areas.
  4. Drying and Dehumidification: Set up and monitor drying equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers to facilitate the drying process and prevent mold growth.
  5. Mold Remediation: Identify and address potential mold issues as part of the restoration process, including removal and remediation as necessary.
  6. Content Handling: Safely remove, pack, and store contents from affected areas, ensuring proper documentation and care.
  7. Cleaning and Sanitization: Clean and sanitize affected surfaces, including walls, floors, and structural components, to prevent further damage and promote a healthy environment.
  8. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the restoration process, including photographs, moisture readings, and work performed, for insurance claims and company records.
  9. Customer Communication: Provide clear and empathetic communication to clients throughout the restoration process, addressing their questions and concerns.
  10. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the safety of yourself, your team, and the property.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in restoration, water damage, or related fields are a plus.
  • Previous experience in water damage restoration or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard equipment and techniques for water damage restoration.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and respond to emergency calls as needed.
