JOB DESCRIPTION Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Houston site is looking for a new Project Logistics Control Tower Specialist to join our Project Logistics team.

Your Role

A Project Control Tower Specialist in Project Logistics knows how to safely move ODC/OOG or Special Cargo. They must understand the scope of work, how to organize the transport through a local carrier or via the respective chartering desk, communicate with Transport Engineering and keep the Team Leader informed all the way. They must update all systems in a timely and accurate manner. Build and maintain a strong relationship with suppliers (. carriers). Ensure HSE is at the forefront of all work.

Your Responsibilities

Utilize the Pricing Centre to provide rates for project requirements  Execute business in line with rates provided Utilize 3rd party suppliers as directed by management  Help all 3rd party suppliers work within the HSE guidelines and Working Instructions for cargo loading/unloading and moving. Ensure operational performance for 3rd party suppliers (including HSE compliance) meets KPI's required and escalate to CT Team Lead as needed

Your Skills and Experiences

Degree is Supply Chain Management or related Understanding of Project Logistics is beneficial 1+ years experience in the Energy / Project Logistics / Marine industry 1+ years Special Cargo Handing Fluent oral and written communicator with strong presentation skills
