Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Project Manager toassist in growing Tetra Tech’s Texas environmental business. Candidate must be highly motivated and work well in a professional and team-oriented environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel as needed, possess excellent communication and organizational skills.Proficiency with MS Office applications is a requirement.
Your Role:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Manager to join our Austin, Texas team to provide support on various environmental projects throughout Texas. This position will support a variety of environmental contracts, including industrial and local government. Duties will include:
Develop/train staff to meet project needs. Interact with commercial/industrial clients to identify needs, develop, and process solutions. Identify and develop new business opportunities. Manage project tasks and financials and lead junior staff during projects. Engage in diverse client projects that may involve multi-media knowledge including Air, Water, Waste, Hazardous Material Management, or Emergency Response/Prevention. Develop proposals including scope of work and budgetary estimates.The position may require extensive outdoor work as well as extended overnight travel.Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related area. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the environmental consulting industry or related experience. Diverse work experience in remediation, due diligence, and environmental compliance projects in Oil and Gas, Renewable, and other industrial clients. RCRA assessment and remediation experience preferred. Applicant must possess excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills. Applicant must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Applicant must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle records check. Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar registration in the environmental field is preferred, but not mandatory. A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.About Tetra Tech:
