Role Purpose

TheDesign Director in The Line Design team will lead and manage thedesign of different assets related to The Line. The Director ofDesign will lead a design team with respective plans schedules andwill organize and coordinate the design work is executed onprojects of allscales.

Keyaccountabilities

• Responsiblefor design quality and vision
• Accountable forDelivery of design through Plan of Works
• Singlepoint of contact for projectLeadership
• Escalation point for DesignConsultants
• Role andresponsibilities:
• Develop THE LINE architecturedesign and ensures implementation across themodule.
• Responsible as part of the seniormanagement team for delivering THE LINE Design Management mandateincluding stakeholder engagement internally andexternally
• Managing the design by creativeapproach and aesthetic design
• Design deliveryfrom concept design to completion.
• Responsibleto deliver the design of various architectural typologies:residential mixed use commercial public healthcare educationalcivic and cultural etc.
• Manage architecturaldesign consultants to deliver NEOM architectural content andcontext
• Strong ability to prepare develop andedit drawings and presentations
• Supervise theproduction of visualization preconcept concept developed anddetailed design
• Acts as Lead reviewer ofqualitative architectural design review process providing analysiscomment and recommendation to executivemanagement.
• Management and oversight of SeniorArchitects Architects Designers within the department and acrossdifferent sectors/departments.
• Draftcomprehensive architectural sets from concept until detailed designdocuments
• Manages Design and Asset Briefcompliance completeness and accuracy including design coordinationwithin architecture and across disciplines
• Leaddevelop and review design asset briefs
• PrepareSoW specifications reports and related datatables
• Lead and develop design manuals standarddesign documents
• Manages preparation of andchecks materials schedules and sample boards andmockups
• Manages preparation of and checksFF&E schedules and sourcing including samples and mockupsas appropriate
• Understanding materiality andits specifications
• Understanding Public realmdesign and application
• Technical detailing andconstruction administration experience
• Abilityto solve design issues in a creative and pragmatic way bydeveloping multiple designs options that meet the design approachand budget
• Manage communication coordinationand management of consultants contractors various NEOMdepartments/sectors
• Produce deliverables inaccordance with NEOM standards andpolicies.

• Experience working in signaturearchitecture design studios
• Design experiencein various architectural types: residential mix use commercialpublic healthcare educational etc.
• Experienceand extensive knowledge on design and construction materials andtheir application
• Design experience of publicrealm design and application
• Extensive projectexperience with emphasis on large projects andprograms
• Experience in Middle East isappreciated

Qualifications:

• B.Arch orB.Sc. in Architecture from a recognizeduniversity
• Postgraduate in Architecture orUrban Design
• International accreditation (RIBAAIA orequivalent)
