Job Summary:

As a Technician, Managed Services Data Protection , you will be responsible for daily administrative tasks related to our client’s Data Protection (Backup and DR) environments under the direct supervision of the Data Protection Manager. The Technician will be the primary point of contact for all incidents assigned to them. The position is subject to shift work and a candidate would be expected to move to different shifts as needed. The Technician will be expected to interact with customers, peers and management via phone, IM, video, and email to ensure customer issues are resolved per contracted SLA’s while documenting all actions and communication in the ticketing system, ServiceNow. This is an ideal position for an individual that is looking to gain more experience in the IT field. 

Travel Requirements:

This role will be remotely based in the Edina, MN area. This position does not require any travel.

Job Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and remediate backup and replication issues within our client base. Contribute towards backup audit processes to ensure the health of our client’s backup/DR environments. Manage and respond to electronic alerts, notifications, and changes to client environments. Assist with Onboarding clients into our Managed Services related to Data Protection. Assist with recurring patch management related tasks to client backup/DR environments. Provide remote support. Provide internal IT Support as needed. Provide support during off hours. Documentation and article submission to the Knowledge Base. Create, update and complete tickets in a timely manner. Provide phone support as needed. Obtain certifications and/or maintain current certifications on various products offered by Presidio.

Required Skills: 

Administration experience with one or more of the following Backup technologies: Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, Rubrik, Avamar, Networker Experience supporting modern Microsoft Windows OS versions Experience supporting Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) Experience with modern Microsoft Servers OS versions and Active Directory administration. Experience monitoring IT environments. Configuring alertsResponding to alerts and remediation. Ability to troubleshoot general networking issues (DHCP, DNS, etc.) A drive for Achievement and Effort, Adaptability/Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Analytical Thinking, Teamwork, Dependability, Initiative, Integrity, Persistence, Stress Tolerance.​

Additional Desired Skills: 

Administration experience with Disaster Recovery technologies such as: Zerto or SRM Experience administering cloud services. Experience with a managed services provider is a plus. Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of + years of experience working in IT or IT professional services industry. A -year degree in a computer-related field is preferred.
