Covestro’s Sophomore Summit is an immersive program designed to bring your classroom learning to life. During Sophomore Summit, you will gain exposure to Covestro’s culture, people, and learn about career paths within a manufacturing company in the chemical industry. Throughout the one-day session, you will participate in panel discussions, business overviews, training sessions and have executive interface. The program capstone will include design thinking sessions to learn more about Covestro and how we push boundaries, re-define business problems and innovate.

The program will take place at Covestro’s headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA in May 2024. Covestro’s campus is located in Robinson Township, a suburb of Pittsburgh, located 12 miles west of the city.

Network with Covestro’s business leaders and executives.Learn how Covestro employees are making the world a brighter place through innovation.Participate in design thinking sessions to learn more about Covestro and the work that we accomplish.Experience #LifeAtCovestro and our company culture.Hear from former interns and rotational development program participants and how Covestro has supported their career journey and gain deeper insight into different functions at Covestro.Participate in interactive workshops that are uniquely designed to build your career skills and shape your future.Receive mentorship and networking opportunities to help you stay connected with Covestro once you are back at school.

WHAT YOU OFFER

Basic Qualifications:

• Current sophomores (rising junior) enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.

• Have an expected graduation date of December 2025 or Spring 2026

• Open to all students; Students from a traditionally underrepresented background are encouraged to apply

• Ability to attend in-person event on May 16, 2024

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in a science, engineering or other STEM related field

*The Sophomore Summit Program is a one-day unpaid immersive program. By participating, you will be considered for a summer 2025 internship for which you meet the requirements. Covestro does not offer a transportation or housing stipend to attend this program.
