THE OPPORTUNITY:

Co-op Solutions provides technically superior products and services to financial institutions across the nation. We are seeking a talented Cybersecurity Intern  to work directly with the Cybersecurity Operations team performing activities related to monitoring and responding to security events.

Co-op takes pride in being named a Top 100 Internship Program in 2022. This internship is part of our Summer 2024 Internship Program starting May 20 and running through August 16. We prefer a candidate that can work full-time (32-40 hours/week) during this time period and report to our Des Moines, IA office.

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:

In partnership with the cybersecurity engineering team, you will have the opportunity to use tools and techniques to collect, analyze, and aggregate security metrics, data, and the network health checks. 

Partner with the team in support of monitoring and response capabilities.

Exposure to PCI compliance and supporting us in ensuring we comply with the newest requirements.

Gain a comprehensive view of security through cross-functional work with Information Security, Enterprise Risk Management, and Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC).

Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs), metrics and business scorecard obligation for ticket handling of security incidents and events.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Basic knowledge of related technologies such as Anti-Virus, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), File-level Disk Encryption, Vulnerability Assessments, and Incident Response.

Knowledge of cloud based technologies, particularly Azure.

Strong time management skills and attention to detail.

The ability to work as part of a team demonstrated through involvement with student organizations, community involvement, work experience, or other activities.
