Greetings from the St. Elizabeth Community Hospital located in picturesque Red Bluff, California. I have been the proud medical director at Sound for six years. People

We are a closely knit, established team of six physicians and three advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of a clinical performance nurse. We are a diverse team from different ethnic backgrounds and training programs, including internal medicine, internal medicine/pediatrics, and family medicine. At St. Elizabeth, we’re more than just a healthcare team; we’re a community. We actively participate in various hospital committees, such as the medical executive committee, stroke, sepsis, and infection control. Beyond our professional lives, we cherish the moments when we can unwind together, whether over dinners, making music with a guitar, racing cars, exploring the mountains on motorcycles, or venturing out on breathtaking hikes. We proudly sponsor H1B and J1 visa candidates, and Sound is equipped with excellent in-house visa specialists and licensing and credentialing experts. All required filing fees for the visa are paid, and services are covered by Sound.

Practice

St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, nestled in Tehama County, is a rural gem spread over 3,000 square miles, serving a population of 65,000. We welcome the challenge of complex cases, working in an open ICU with telemedicine critical care 24/7. We do most procedures and run codes. You’ll experience an average census of 10-12 per physician, with 1-3 admissions per day and 2-6 admissions per night. Internal Medicine BC/BE to cover adult services only. Med/Peds or Family Medicine BC/BE will have the opportunity to provide coverage of pediatrics patients; 1-2 pediatric patients a day – primarily newborns, may also require resuscitation for critical newborns until transfer – assist ER in facilitating transfers of critical patients. Cerner EMR and access to Sound Physicians internal informatics platform Phone consultations with specialists at our larger regional hospital complement opportunities for independent practice. A balanced 7 on/7off block schedule allows for quality time at work and home. Our dedicated team consists of two hospitalists during the day and one at night (one APP during the days). We are a small, collegial team that strives to support each other for time off when needed. Red Bluff is a charming rural farming community with excellent access to outdoor activities, including hunting, camping, fishing, and hiking. Expected annual salary is $320K-$330K, depending on experience.
