Under the direction of the Maintenance Planning Production Manager, the Expeditor supports driving the planning packages for Direct Feed Low Activity Waste (DFLAW) to Ready to Work. Expediting for DFLAW ensures that all necessary materials, staffing, and plant systems are aligned to accomplish plant commissioning milestones. The Expeditor gathers status through database research, electronic communication, and verbal communication, communicates daily priorities to planners and reviewers, drives packages ready to work, then and provides work planning status to other organizations. Expeditors coordinate forecasted work dates with work planning, Maintenance execution, Operations, Commissioning, and other organizations. The Expeditor is also responsible for identifying, communicating, and facilitating resolution of potential problems that might impact work being planned in the plant. The Expeditor must be able to work with planning documents and schedules.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control and supervision of WTCC.

Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

Interface with representatives in functional organizations to obtain status of activities, communicate information related to work planning, and facilitate updates to work planning and scheduling

Identify potential conflicts in planned activities and facilitate resolution

Develop and maintain the products necessary to support the planning process, including reporting and status products

Lead, attend, or participate, in meetings to represent department goals and objectives

Effectively communicate planning and review priorities to support site priorities

Review Job Hazard Analysis forms, CMMS, and work orders to ensure alignment

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical, administration, or management field, or 2 years in scheduling, maintenance planning, procedures, construction, engineering, operations, administration, or related field. 

OR

Associate’s degree in a technical, administration, or 4 years of experience in scheduling, maintenance planning, procedures, construction, engineering, operations, administration, or related field. 

OR
High School Diploma/GED or 6 years of experience in scheduling, maintenance planning, procedures, construction, engineering, operations, administration, or related field. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland)

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site .

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
