Journeyman Plumber

The Journeyman Plumber is to ensure that installation, service, and maintenance are provided within federal code, as well as, within in specifications of state/county/parish regulations. Organized, personable, and detail-oriented to coordinate various tasks & functions to ensure the operation always runs smoothly.

Select the specified type and size of pipe, fittings, valves, etc.

• Measure and mark pipe for cutting and threading; assemble pipes, tubes, and fittings, according to specifications.

• Bend pipe according to specifications.

• Install and verify the operation of high-pressure pipes and fittings.

• Repair and replace any damaged pipe; fabricate and install metal fittings, install supports, valves, and other control equipment.

• Test installed piping systems and install other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.

• Perform both basic and complex preventative maintenance as well as major repairs to equipment and systems. Planning and preparation for each installation

• Load materials into vehicles for each project; check vehicle for necessary stocked materials if not working with an apprentice

• Drive company vehicles to and from job-sites

• Purchase job materials when necessary

• Complete work accurately to ensure that project passes inspection the first time

• Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner

• Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
