Responsibilities

Supervise police officers and other security personnel to monitor and respond to potential and/or actual security threats.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations, security assessments, and review of professional standards.
  • Collaborate with chain of command, internal/external departments and other agencies for effective operational responses.
  • Has authority to arrest for misdemeanors and/or felonies under applicable law, and provide court testimony as required.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic violations.
  • Maintain vehicle in a safe and clean condition and promptly communicates need for service or repairs.
  • Coordinate scheduling and shift coverage.
  • May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Certification specializing in Peace Officer obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Law Enforcement obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of experience required.
  • Shall be at least 21 years of age in order to attend the required law enforcement training academy courses.
Additional Preferences
  • Academy training is required.
  • Previous law enforcement experience is required.
