Due to a Promotion- Eurofins Environment Testing is searching for a GC Analyst I(Semi Volatiles) for Barberton, OH Hours are M-F 8am-5pm
The Analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing Northcentral Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s.
Analyst's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
Performing routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:Preparation of samples using standard techniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine instrument maintenance Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing Northecentral's EHS and QA standards Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems. Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods Aliquots and weighs samples Washes glasswareThe ideal candidate would possess :
Analytical and/or General Science Scientific methods and method compliance Strong attention to detail Strong Mathematics background Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures Laboratory safety rules and chemical hazards Previous lab experience with GC and EPA purge and trap methods helpfulCompensation range:$18-$21 (DOE)
Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications :
Four year Science Degree in Chemistry or related field Laboratory experience is a must Basic chromatography experience/background in Gas Chromatography, etc. would be helpful Having safety awareness Authorized to work in the Unites States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship Availability to work on Saturday's dependent on Sample load.
