Acute LVN
Duties include providing routine care, general observation of client’s health status, assists the RN and physician in treatments and communicating with clients and their families/guardians. Reports changes in condition and/or additional client needs to supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Administers medications and treatments as directed. Responds to emergencies and provides care.
- Directs Certified Nursing Assistants in performance of work.
- Maintains medical records as required.
- Provides direct care, reorders residents' medications, charts summaries, and other pertinent information communicates status during shift change, checks supplies, and maintains equipment.
- Reports all sudden changes to the physician immediately.
- Assists in planning resident care activities based upon the Service Plan.
- Participates in the interdisciplinary team.
- Functions as shift Charge Nurse as assigned.
