Position Overview:

The Test Lab Technician will set up and perform manual, automated and environmental performance testing on the full line of Newell Home Fragrance product lines based on applicable standards while following strict timelines.

Shift: 2 nd shift, Monday – Friday 2:00PM – 10:30PM

Responsibilities:

· Design and generate detailed, accurate reports that will be used to make key business decisions on a range of Newell Rubbermaid product lines

· Communication of test results, generation of formal test reports, and review of other employees’ test reports

· Perform visual measurements

· Consistent and accurate data recoding using specialized software

· Willing to learn new technologies, equipment and procedures through on-the-job training

· Support design, construction and calibration of new and existing test fixtures and equipment

· Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and creative problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

· Associate Degree or related experience in Chemistry, Technology, or Engineering

· Demonstrated ability to operate electronic and mechanical equipment and tools

· Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint

· Excellent organizational skills and data recording consistency

· Familiarity with the use of data acquisition and data logging software/equipment

· Ability to interpret mechanical drawings to assist in measurement

· Ability to collect and interpret data

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry

· Consumer products industry experience

· Experience working with international testing standards

· Experience with statistical analysis
