Job: 13J AIT Instructor (Army Fire Control Specialist)

Description: The Army's inability to fill TDA positions has impacted the 13J Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) training capability. Without an adequate number of fully certified instructors, all 13J MOS advanced individual training (AIT) instruction will be degraded. The Fires Center of Excellence, 428th FA BDE, Fort Sill, OK, is planning to obtain contract instructors to support 13J MOS instruction. Contractor instructors shall possess the skills and ability to instruct AIT Soldiers in both the classroom and field environment in accordance with the FA Commandant approved program of instruction (POI).
Qualifications:
- Have at a minimum of 5 years of experience in the 13J MOS required by this contract and the experience shall be within the last 10 years.
- Provide proof of experience from any or a combination of the following: DD Form 214, Enlisted Records Brief (ERB)/Warrant/Officer Records Brief, Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Report (NCOER), or Certificate of Completion (13J MOS Qualified).
- Complete instructor certification.
- Possess a SECRET security clearance at the time of hiring.
Job Description:
- Follow the approved 13J MOS POI and teach to standard each lesson plan subject.
- Recommend modifications to the course material to the needs of the class.
- Present classroom and field instruction on the technical capabilities of the equipment and systems associated with each of the 13J MOS (AFATDS and AMP-V). The full spectrum of training includes but is not limited to classroom, hands-on, simulation /virtual, field environment and exercises, combat scenario driven, and live fire in a realistic and safe environment.
- Present classroom and field instruction on the preparation, operation, and maintenance procedures required for 13J MOS systems and equipment (AFATDS and AMP-V).
- Provide instruction on the individual and crew level skills, tasks, and duties necessary for the doctrinal employment and operation of the 13J MOS systems and equipment.
- Administer examinations, evaluate test results, correlate test results of the students' ability, and provide recommendations to academic deficiency panels on changes and student status.
- Qualify on and demonstrate the proper employment and operation of the Army equipment and systems associated with 13J MOS listed below:
- Digital Systems: AN/GHyK-63, VRC-92F, OE-254
- Vehicles: M142 HIMARS, M207A1 MLRS, M9854A HEMTT, M989A1 HEMTT, M1084A1 RVSV, LMTV/FMTV, HMMVW
