Join Lowes Foods as a Sous Chef at our Huntersville, NC location The Sous Chef will assist the Head ChefwiththeFood Service area's operationsto ensure the Lowes Foods Guest experience, menu execution,andhost and teamdevelopmentalign with established expectations. The Sous Chef will assume the duties of the Head Chef in their absence.
Responsibilities
Maintainsafety andsanitation throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards. Train, coach, develop,andprovidefeedbackto food servicehoststoachieveestablishedperformance standards. Ensurefood service hosts provide gueststhe desired level ofserviceconsistent with our established Purpose, Priorities, and Service Standards. Ensure that department financial's align with establish budget and meet the needs and demands of our guests, including food cost, shrink, gross profit, etc. Collaboratewith department managers and teamsthroughout the store todriveefficiency, reduce costs and increase gross profit. Monitor and manage inventory to ensure food quality and desired levels of product, wrap, and supplies. Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs. Createdepartment schedulestomeet the needs of the business,balance the needs of our hosts, andmeetlabor budget and scheduling standards. Ensurethe quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards. Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering,stockingandguestservice as necessary to achieve standards. Activelyengagewith gueststo promote products and services. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Friendly, outgoing personality. Ability to work well with others. Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally. Ability to read and understand information and direction. Knowledge ofkitchenoperations. Ability to supervise people including training and development. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Effective communication,guestservice and selling skills. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser. Ability to work well with computers. Food Safety Manager Certification.#LI-KG1
