If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you The South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is seeking a K-12 Principal. This position is located in Aberdeen, SD. A 10-month full-time position, with excellent benefits.

Job Highlights

Supervise all day-to-day educational activities for students enrolled at the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

a. Encourage and support the development of innovative instructional programs.b. Monitor student progress and follow up with parents and teachers as needed.c. Monitor report cardsd. Schedule parent teacher conferencese. Assist superintendentf. Student & faculty scheduleg. Conduct monthly faculty meetingsh. Provide supervision and evaluation for various staff and substitute staffi. Conduct various staff evaluations following established timelines and formatj. Approve leave requests and arrange for substitutes

Preferred knowledge of

· School administration experience
· Knowledge of special education procedures and law preferred.· Teaching experience with endorsement in visual impairment and special education preferred.
