Day-to-day operational support for the securitized credit (ABS/MBS), bond and repo trading desks – working closely with traders and counterparties to ensure accurate trade capture and confirmation, primarily using external trade matching platforms and in-house risk systems. Responsible for timely and accurate settlement of trades. Highlighting any issues to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner, with an ability to distinguish and prioritize high-risk breaks. Key involvement in driving process improvement across the Fund trade booking systems and related downstream operational flows. Key involvement in improvements made to the trade booking systems.The Exchange traded cash Confirmations and Settlements team provides Operational Services to the AHL, GLG & Numeric Fund managers. Covering all securities across all markets. Monitoring of Unconfirmed and failing trades. Investigating and, where possible clearing all nostro breaks in Securities transactions. Improving STP rates at the Custodian and Prime brokers. Trade amendments, event processing, and reference data maintenance to ensure accurate representation of positions, P&L, and exposures in the risk management systems. Act as a central point of contact for all broker queries Act as a subject matter expert for all securitized Credit, Bond and Repo operational servicesacross Man Group Represent the securitized Credit, Bond and Repo Confirmations / Settlement team across Man Group To continually review and improve the working practices/processes of the team. Where possible automate the end to end processes Manage queries from both internal and external clients in an efficient and timely manner Liaising with global Tech & Ops counterparts on a variety of strategic initiatives to provide expertise for processes & systems, assist in testing technology rollouts, and driving enhancements to existing systems & processes Implementation & execution of processes within a control infrastructure that mitigates operational risk & allows the business to operate in a controlled environment. Collating & presenting key governance metrics to the business on a regular basis To work alongside other Ops teams to provide cover/product knowledge (this will happen over time as the team becomes fully established) Ensure all processes meet the minimum Audit and Internal Control framework Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory data requirements and ensure impacts are managed appropriately Strong analytical skills to understand a broad set of products and complex end-to-end workflows. Detail-oriented with a control mind set Ability to multi-task & prioritize in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills to be able to partner with Front Office, Tech, and Operations teams globally TECHNICAL COMPETENCI 2+ years Operations experience, preferably within a trade settlements or trade confirmation’s role for listed securities. Some experience with securitized Credit, Bond and/or Repo products preferred. Good excel and Microsoft skills.
