Team is working hybrid and position will be onsite in Fridley MN 3 days/week.

This position is a key member of the Global Operations & Supply Chain (“GO&SC”) Strategy FP&A team, supporting the lead for Strategy FPA. The role partners most closely with the Strategy & Network Operations finance organization to manage cost center planning, forecasting and analysis processes. 

This role is critical to deliver on the financial commitments, and continuously drive improvements, standardization, and efficiencies within our FP&A processes. The successful candidate will partner with Strategy & Network Operations Finance, Global Operations and Supply Chain (“GO&SC”) FP&A, and cross-functional leadership to report, analyze, forecast, and articulate Strategy & Network Operations financial performance.

A Day in the Life

Functional Excellence and Business Partnering

Perform Financial Planning & Analysis activities for the GO&SC Strategy & Network Operations organization. Prepare monthly analysis, commentary, and forecasting, including key drivers, performance metrics, risks, and opportunities. Ensure the accuracy of the data. Collaborate with Strategy & Network Operations Finance and GO&SC FP&A in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly reporting and quarterly forecast processes. Leverage strong problem-solving to tackle challenges related to financial reporting, forecasting and analysis. Seek innovative solutions that can streamline processes. Maintain clear and organized documentation processes and improvements made.  Develop ad hoc reports to support analyses. Work on special requests, projects, and financial presentations for management as required. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience Nice to Have Is a collaborator in a matrix structure with excellent communication skills. Has strong ability to partner with senior leadership and others and builds relationship networks at all levels. Experience with Medtronic financial systems: SAP, Global Planning System (GPS), Essbase/Hyperion & Business Objects. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers. Global Experience, working in large, complex, matrix organizations. Effective communication skills and excellent people skills with ability to influence multiple diverse stakeholders and build strong business relationships. Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating actionable insights and analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives.
