Purpose of Position

Are you a curious and passionate engineer who desires to drive innovation in software and applications for the undisputed leader in private aviation? We are looking for a software engineer to work on a team designing, developing, testing, debugging, and supporting new software, as well as provide enhancements to existing software. Role includes meeting with customers to understand their business processes and needs with the objective of determining solutions to better support the business. This will sometimes require filling multiple roles to turn the customer's needs into actual solutions. The software engineer role is a mixture of Build and Application Production Support.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Drive implementation of software thru analysis and design activities for new business features or value-based enhancements to existing software.  Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, cyber security, and others to implement architectures that encompass broad perspectives and requirements. Automate build, test, and deploy code and build pipelines Build testing automation and associated processes (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.) into the software product. Work in an agile team environment to iteratively delivery value. Note: It is not possible to list all required job duties on this form. Previous work experience as Software engineer with 2-4 years’ experience is preferred. Strong experience with AWS Lambdas, Amazon SQS and API gateway. Experience supporting Oracle database, DynamoDB and S3. Ability to create and modify SQL queries. Knowledge or ability to easily pick up productivity and support tools like Jira and Jenkins. Hands-on experience supporting AWS backend integrations is required. Experience in web development, mobile development, or software engineering projects as part of educational curriculum is preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
