Position Title:           Concourse Manager

Reports To:               General Manager

Department:            Food & Beverage Operations

Status:                       Exempt


Broad Functions: A Concourse Manager assists the General Manager and the Asst. General Manager in executing the day-to-day activities in support of the strategic planning initiatives to ensure a productive and profitable operation, while helping to promote an overall corporate image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of excellent customer service of all food and beverage operations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1.   Assist the GM in maximizing sales and profits by meeting and exceeding sales budgets.

2.     Maintaining outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge.

3.   Maintain all aspects of customer service following all company and airport policies and procedures. Communicate customer requests to upper management.

4.   Maintain a fair and balanced employee schedule.

5.   Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.

6.   Follow all cash management policies, i.e.: random spot checks, money drops, etc.

7.   Ring on registers when needed and accurately maintain all cash and media.

8.   Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked.

9.   Process employee payroll on a bi-weekly basis, working effectively and efficiently with HR Manager in this process.

10. Ensure all store employees are trained properly.

11. Conduct employee performance reviews.

12.  Monitor and verify vendor activity in stores.

13. Perform all shifts duties as required.

14. Maintain a neat and organized appearance – following company dress code guidelines.

15.  Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by General Manager or Asst. General Manager.


Skills and Qualifications:

1.   Minimum High School Diploma, some College preferred. 1-2 years restaurant or related food service operations experience.

2.   Strong math, verbal and written communication skills.

3.   Excellent communication and people skills

4.   Strong organizational skills

5.   Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.


Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs. Self-motivated and energetic. Ability to work under pressure. Able to work a flexible work schedule and meet business demands, including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of managing the operations of a business, or group. Knowledge of advertising and selling products and services.

Knowledge of providing special services to customers based on their needs.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, use hands and fingers, communicate verbally, and hear. The associate is also occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and either lift or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
