Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Welding Inspector to ensure the quality and safety of our welding processes and products. As a Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, interpreting codes and standards, and collaborating with our team to maintain excellence in welding operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections and leak testing methods to evaluate the quality of welded joints and structures.
  • Interpret welding codes and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Document inspection findings and communicate recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Inspect welding materials and verify welder qualifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams and quality control personnel to implement quality assurance measures.
  • Uphold safety protocols and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.

Requirements:

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification or equivalent from organizations like the American Welding Society (AWS) or the International Institute of Welding (IIW).
  • 2 years of experience in welding inspection or a related field.
  • Proficiency in interpreting welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Location: Union City, CA

Shift: Swing Shift

Pay Range: $23 - $27 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
