Sr. Security Specialist/SME TS/SCI with Poly REQUIRED

Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a seasoned Security Consultant to support a specialized client in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area (WMA). Security consultants analyze personnel security information and assess client security systems to input and exfil data. Security consultants coordinate with other client offices and assist in determining the eligibility of candidates for clearances. They must have excellent communication and researching skills to identify and gather data suitable for program employment purposes. A security consultant for this program must be able to processes information according to client security procedures and protocols, providing accurate data and managing the documentation throughout the scope of the requirement.
Security consultants play a crucial role in maintaining client organizational security protocols and they conduct quality checks on pending candidate’s administrative documents. They also maintain the responsibility for ensuring all relevant information is developed and considered in accordance with the client’s security policies.
This position is located in Chantilly, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Prepare and complete the security administrative packages for on-boarding new program members during the clearance process.
•Assist internal CGI Security personnel with specific client requirements and issues specific to the contingent hire opportunity:
•Be knowledgeable of client security practices and requirements
•Provide staff support related to project management, communication, organization, facilitation, documentation review, requirements gathering and definitions, etc.
•Understand current trends for improving security processes and efficiency within the client space.
•Working knowledge of client security systems and procedures.
•Extensive knowledge and understanding of client security processes, procedures, requirements, and documentation protocols.
•Excellent communication and Program Management skills
•The willingness to work on client site and support additional client sites in the WMA when required.
•Maintain knowledge of current trends for improving security processes and efficiency with client security and CGI Federal security management.
•Working knowledge of client security systems, visitor access and badging procedures.
•Provides analytical and security support to multiple programs.
•Contributes to engagement work plan development and lead assigned engagement tasks to completion.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•Experience working high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program, performing all functional duties independently.
•Possess a minimum of 15-years’ experience working in the client security arena.
•Minimum of 5-years’ experience in security management or the client personnel security arena.
•Knowledge of client physical security standards supporting specialized programs.
•Great communication skills and the ability to present security verbiage in an understandable manner.
•Excellent analytical, organizational, administrative, and decision-making skills.
•A highly logical, honest, and objective nature.
•Good teamwork and time management skills.
•The candidate should also have experience with military acumen and be familiar with the different military branches and discharge documentation (DD-).
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,.00 - $,.00.
