Nurse Extern-Fall Semester 2024

Administration of medication (Under direct supervision of RN preceptor) Assessments of patient-(under direct supervision of RN preceptor) Organize, plan, and deliver patient care-(Under direct supervision of RN preceptor) Documentation of care performed-(Under direct supervision of RN preceptor) Evaluate outcomes of care-(Under direct supervision of RN preceptor) Participate in shift report to and from RN-(Under direct supervision of RN preceptor) All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

Must be enrolled in a nursing program from and approved school of nursing Must be in last semester of nursing program to participate in nurse extern program Current Kentucky Nurse Aid Certification required or successful completion of level of education. BLS
