This position in the Surgical Operating Unit will be based out of North Haven, CT and reports to the Sr. Director of Sustaining Engineering.

Outstanding technical skills in problem solving, debug, troubleshooting and manufacturing test are required as well as superior written and verbal communication abilities and the desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person will be able to dive in deep technically, but also able to see the broader needs of the business and the Surgical organization.The scope of this role will include addressing manufacturing issues for the capital systems across the entire Surgical business unit, inclusive of Robotic Surgical Technologies and Advanced Surgical Technologies.

A successful candidate will enter this role with demonstrated application of technical and operations/manufacturing experience.

A Day in the Life

·Plan the scope, budget, and project schedule for your assigned work packages

·Plan, document, and execute project schedules that integrate multiple Operations Functions to achieve a significant milestone toward product development or implementation.

·Schedule and Lead team meetings as necessary.

·Maintain accountability to the scope, cost and schedule, you have been asked to manage; be the primary person to remove barriers.

·Proactively develop risk mitigation and recovery plans with clear action steps defining what must be true to meet the expectations and influence others to follow.

·Conduct in-depth analysis to provide recommendations on process & product improvements

The preferred location for this position is North Haven, CT.Some travel may be occasionally required 10-20%.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree required Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience


Nice to Have

·Proven Operations and Manufacturing experience

·Experience with highly regulated and/or safety-critical systems is required (medical device experience strongly preferred)

·Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

·Strong leadership skills

·Comfortable working in a fast paced, cross disciplinary environment

·Ability to discuss technical details with engineering staff, the ideal candidate will have a strong engineering and product development background.

·Ability to drive action and effect change
