Overview

The Pictsweet Company is growing We are currently seeking Project Engineers to join our corporate engineering team in Bells, TN. The Corporate Project Engineer will manage capital & special repair projects, assist with regulatory compliance issues, and provide technical support to Pictsweet's vegetable processing facilities.

Responsibilities

Capital & Repair Projects – Planning and Design

Develop project concepts and performance specifications Develop general arrangements, layouts and schematic design Perform detailed design of food processing, packaging, steam, water, refrigeration, and material handling systems Perform schematic design of electrical and controls systems Develop project management plans

Capital & Repair Projects – Execution

Draft and/or review EJCDC and AIA construction contract documents Manage contractors, equipment vendors, transportation, and material procurement Manage project schedule and costs Review submittals, change orders, and certification for payment request Ensure all quality standards are met Maintain project documentation

Technical Support

Provide technical support to all facilities in the areas of refrigeration, processing, packaging, controls, and utility systems Assist all plants with regulatory requirements such as PSM, RMP, and life safety compliance Maintain knowledge of current trends in equipment, materials, technologies, etc applicable to our industry Provide support to other engineering projects as needed

Qualifications

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution 3.25 overall GPA Firm understanding of the fundamentals of refrigeration, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, machine design, materials, and mechanics of materials Ability to effectively communicate engineering designs and concepts through sketches, drawings, and written documents Experience preferred, particularly in ammonia industrial refrigeration, food plant/sanitary designs, and plant engineering
