Our Operations Management Trainee Program is an entry level management position that offers exceptional hands-on experience. If you are a recent college graduate (within the last 12 months) or will be a college graduate (within the next 12 months), with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, Operations Management, Food Science, Agribusiness or related field from an accredited college this is an opportunity to explore. The Management Trainee will spend several months in each department gaining a solid understanding of our operations through direct observation and shadowing. You will be an operations team member; rotation assignments through several departments is necessary to gain a real understanding of the business. After initial training, the Management Trainee will be assigned to specific front-line Supervisor duties. Being successful as a front-line supervisor will open opportunities for career growth in all facets of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct management of hourly team members including training, performance, discipline, compliance with company policies, and employee motivation and development.
  • Accountability for directing departmental actives to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Accurate and complete record keeping of daily operations including equipment and line downtime, product audits, employee job rotations, and yield tracking information.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate (within the last 12 months) or will be a college graduate (within the next 12 months) from an accredited university.
  • The following bachelor's Degrees will be considered: Animal Science, Operations Management, Food Science, Agribusiness, Food Scientist, Biology, Logistics / Scheduling / Inventory Management / Warehouse Management, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Accounting / Business.
  • Strong interest in working in the food and beverage, production, manufacturing industry, specify the meat industry.
  • Strong Communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work daily or weekly overtime, likely on 2nd or 3rd shift for an extended period.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary with shift premium pay and annual performance bonus.
  • 136 Hours Vacation in year 1.

Physical requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
