Overview

St. Joseph Hospital, located in Bethpage NY, is a not-for-profit full service, 203-bed, community hospital that plays a paramount role in its communities. The Emergency Department cares for over 34,000 patients a year. The hospital has achieved disease specific certification for its Stroke Program which is designated by NYS as a Gold Plus Center. Other vital services include the St. Francis Imaging Center at St. Joseph Hospital, a state-of-the-art cardiac CT scanner, MRI, Vascular Laboratory, Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, Center for Sleep Medicine, Center for Swallowing, Speech & Voice, and comprehensive in-patient medical, critical care and surgical services. 

Job Details

Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining patient records and assisting in filling Intravenous antibiotics. Filling, trouble shooting and maintain automated dispensing machine. Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule. Picks up orders, requisitions and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.

  Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. NYS Pharmacy Technician registration required. PTCB or NHA certification required. Experience in an acute care facility Pharmacy department strongly preferred

Salary Range

USD - USD /Hr.
