Overview

Goldbelt Integrated Logistics Services (GbILS) provides four specific areas of expertise—Logistics Engineering, Measurement Sciences, Program Management, and Technical Support—serving the scientific, technical, and engineering needs of clients. GbILS values its innovative thinking and service-oriented team who provide services for a variety of federal government and commercial clients.

Summary:

This position will provide the USCG training support services to Coast Guard personnel in the operation and maintenance of various electronic and navigation systems. Candidate must possess a thorough knowledge of instructional techniques with strong communication skills. Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Provide operator training instruction at C3CEN and at various Coast Guard cutters and other afloat and ashore units Conduct needs assessments to identify training requirements and develop appropriate training solutions Utilize various instructional techniques and training methodologies to ensure effective learning outcomes Demonstrate a thorough understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories Develop and update training materials, manuals, and user guides to support training initiatives Implement innovative training techniques to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Proficient with Sun Solaris, Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office suites
Proficiency in U.S. Coast Guard navigation and piloting principles
Strong technical background with expertise in electronic and navigation systems Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 3 - 10 years training at the adult education level (i.e. Experienced military-trained trainer, trade school instructor, college instructor etc.) Minimum 3 years in U.S. Coast Guard RADAR operating principles. Must exemplify proficiency (a minimum of three [3] years) in one or more of the following:Operation of the Seawatch system.Operation of the Vega Electronic Charting System (Vega-ECS)Operation of the Vega Electronic Chart Display Integrated System (Vega ECDIS) systemOperation of the Coast Guard - Electronic Chart Display Integrated System (CGECDIS) Must have a SECRET Security Clearance Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Electronics Engineering or completion of USCG or DOD Technical Schools preferred.
