gpac is working with a client company seeking a Maintenance Lead to join their growing team. They've been in business since the 1950’s and are steadily growing. Their family owned business has 2 production lines and about 20 employees. They run one shift and only supply natural ingredients in their food products. Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Lead: 

  • Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
  • Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, repair of equipment and minor building maintenance.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
  • Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment. Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed.
  • Adheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Lead: 

  • At least 3 years of experience working in maintenance for a food/beverage company
  • Advanced understanding of machinery and equipment.
  • Basic skill level in multiple computer software packages including Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to read and understand basic schematics.
  • Ability to indirectly lead and influence a maintenance team.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense. "Make it happen" attitude.
  • Associates degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems and ability to troubleshoot these systems preferred.
