Job Description

1. Must have knowledge of all materials, hardware specifications
2. Perform simple assembly as required to rework or repair tools and set up tooling for tool try inspections
3. Use blueprints, sketches, tool designs or follow verbal instructions
4. Use precision measuring instruments to make and check tools
5. Use transit level to level final seat tables
6. Perform difficult and exacting machine operations on all tool room equipment requiring a wide variety of set ups and methods to maintain close tolerances
7. Develop new ideas and methods to make tools more economical
8. Must be knowledgeable of MVP production and MVP certified
9. Must be able to perform other duties as required
Employee is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s). Performs safety related duties as assigned.

Complementary Description

Types of equipment will depend on area of assignment but may include: mill machines, lathes, saws, grinders CNC machining centers, and any other machinery in tooling

Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
 One to three years of related experience required – equivalent education and background may be substituted for experience in some areas.
 Requires a thorough understanding of shop practices and procedures.
 Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
 Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
 Employee must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses.
