Overview

Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has a Class B Delivery Driver role available in College Point, NY Join a strong and continuously evolving transportation group, helping our business grow. The Class B Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route of daily stops. The deliveries require unloading the product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly and delivering the merchandise to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering products and exceptional customer service.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to finish. The Pay rate is $23 per hour.

Responsibilities

You will:

Safely operate a 24’ box truck of 26,000 pounds of gross vehicle weight (GVW) Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate Properly track and document activity log Report any issues or incidents to dispatch Inspect the truck before and after each trip Communicate with customers with an outgoing, positive attitude

Qualifications

You have:

A valid commercial driver’s license Must have a valid DOT medical card or be able to pass a DOT medical exam A good driving record 1 year of recent CDL B experience 1 year of route delivery experience 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience Lift gate experience Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted) Strong work ethic
