Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a Head Cheerleading Coach at North High School.

Job Summary:
Provides leadership to develop and maintain a high-quality cheer program that promotes school spirit. Supports each participating student in achieving a higher level of skill, an enhanced appreciation for the values of discipline and teamwork, and an increased level of self-esteem.

Successful candidates for this position will possess:
1. Previous experience in Cheerleading as participant and/or coach or related position.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Valid driver’s license.
4. The ability to drive students to competition sites as required.
5. Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills.

Stipend for this position: *To Be Determined for 2024-2025*
Was $6,973 for 2023-2024

Stipend amounts are based on a percentage of the base salary negotiated by DMEA. Stipends are subject to be prorated if the full season is not worked.
