Responsibilities

  • Examine equipment processes operations andassembly procedures to suggest improvements
  • Improve overall processes and related issues includingprocess development
  • Develop and troubleshootstamping processes
  • Specify forming andstamping equipment
  • Provide engineeringresources for other departments
  • Follow qualitysystems procedures
  • Design and developdepartment tooling fixtures and work aides
  • Investigate and analyze tooling processing assembly andsequencing issues
  • Initiate corrective actionsand modify plant tooling and machine programming
  • Participate in problem resolution teams
  • Develop specifications and analyze supplier quotationsfor new production equipment
  • Assist in designinstallation and debugging of tooling and capitalequipment
  • Daily troubleshooting of assemblyand press shop problems to support production
  • Identify and optimize manufacturing processes usingcontinuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in ametal stamping shop
  • CAD experience required(AutoCAD Pro E Solid Works)
  • Knowledge ofdesign applications related to stamping
  • Knowledge of equipment and systems appropriate to relateddiscipline
  • Knowledge of engineering principlesand procedures
  • Die Design experience is aplus
  • Journeyman Tool and Die experience is aplus

EducationRequirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering with a minimum of 2 yearsof related experience or 5 years of equivalent experience withdemonstrated knowledge in the field
  • Anyequivalent combination of experience training and/or educationapproved by Human Resources
