Position: Barista

Department: Food and Beverage

Job Summary: Contributes to the success by providing legendary guest service to all guests. Creates the Forbes Four Star Experience by providing guests with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):

Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Food and Beverage. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team. Anticipates guest and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and guests for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Four-Star Experience during each shift. Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful land encouraging coaching as needed. Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager. Delivers legendary guest service to all guests by acting with a “guest comes first” attitude and connecting with the guest. Discovers and responds to guest needs. Follows all Food and Beverage operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift. Assures accuracy of sales data and cash handling, including balancing of assigned bank. Processes credit card and cash transactions. Redeems scripts, vouchers, coupons and receipts for service and/or products. Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Provides quality beveragesand food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to learn quickly. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed. Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team. Ability to deal effectively with difficult guests. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build relationships. Excellent guest service skills. Basic math skills and accurate money-handling skills. Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and correctly make change. Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation. Ability to complete all necessary paperwork neatly and accurately. Ability to print, write legibly, read, speak, and hear. Ability to inspect and maintain Sol Brew area and equipment. Must be able to lift 25 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand and walk during an entire shift. Ability to work in a noisy, smoking environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed. Must be able to work in a smoking environment. Must have employment eligibility in the Must be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid gaming license. Must either possess or obtain valid Food Handler’s and Alcohol Awareness cards within three (3) months of employment. Must successfully pass a job-related test.
