Overview

Job Summary:

Provides support to the United States Army on location at Ft Dix, New Jersey. We instruct soldiers in an indoor environment on an Engagement Skills Trainer (EST 10 Lane). This position uses the simulator to qualify using light to heavy weaponry (indoor) certification for soldiers. The Engagement Skills Trainer (EST 10 Lane) is a laser simulated range and the soldier must qualify/certify this training prior to live-fire on an outdoor range.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Instruct soldiers (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines) the fundamentals of firing techniques to qualify and be certified prior to an outdoor range live-fire.

  • Prepares an instructional program in accordance with the training simulator that is required by military standards.

  • Teach assigned topics in accordance with approved curriculum effectively utilizing all allotted time, maintains proficiency in instructional techniques, incorporates current examples in the teaching process ( develops clarification or real-world examples of application related to the subject matter).

  • Develops and maintains classroom techniques that reflect professionalism, good discipline and enhance teaching.

  • Alternates teaching techniques in order to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas.

  • Administers grades, records and critiques examinations for a passing qualification.

  • Prepares and administers remedial assignments.

  • Submits written recommendations for curriculum updates to ensure consistency with changes and innovations in latest applicable publications or documents.

  • Simulator Weapon Maintenance (clean, grease, lubrication of weapons).

  • Simulator Scheduling: Scheduling is done by the Army RFMSS System.

  • This position is a 40 hour per week. Flex week can include Saturday and Sunday Instruction.

  • Instructor will submit monthly usage to TADS Technician (includes number training events & number of soldiers trained) There is no overtime for this position.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED/Military Background.

  • Years of experience: 2 years as Instructor.

  • Strong Communication Skills.

  • Work well with others.

  • Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
