St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School is seeking a full-time Two Year Old Preschool Teacher.  This program is a part time program with a full day option and is a 12 month position. This program is licensed by the State of Washington. 

 

Job Description: The Lead Two Year Old Preschool Teacher is responsible for overseeing all program operations and providing daily classroom instruction and care for the children in this class and required paperwork. The Lead Preschool Teacher will promote all aspects of early childhood development (social-emotional, fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, language, literacy, mathematics, etc.) 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Early Childhood Education preferred

  • STARS Certification required prior to the first day of school

  • Successful preschool teaching experience

  • Demonstrated successful classroom management skills and use of instructional strategies with diverse student populations

  • Experience incorporating technology into lessons

  • Maintain Washington State Department of Early Learning licensing requirements

  • Practicing Catholic preferred

 

 

 

Primary Duties:

 

  • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate care and curriculum aligned to Early Learning and Developmental Guidelines

  • Incorporate developmentally appropriate daily classroom activities

  • Regularly evaluate and document student progress 

  • Manage and collaborate with other staff members and instructional aides

  • Maintain a physical environment that is clean, safe, orderly, and conducive to optimal growth and development of children

  • Assess and care for children as required and provide regular reports to parents on student progress

  • Attend training and staff meetings as required

  • Other duties as assigned by administration 

 

 

 

Salary Range: $19 - 25 an hour. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market date, applicant’s skills and prior experience, degrees and certifications.
