If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have a multiple opportunities for a Nuclear Engineers in the Nuclear Fuel Design group.

Your Day-to-Day: 
• Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants.
• Grow and develop extensive technical expertise in US and international nuclear markets.
• Work in teams to resolve critical issues impacting the construction and operation of nuclear power plants.
• Develop and maintain an effective business relationship with Westinghouse customers
• Perform standard nuclear design reload calculations (calc_notes) by using the calc_note template, following METCOM, guidance from previous cycle calc notes, and consulting with co-authors, functional leads and mentors. Candidate will interpret the results and work with independent verifier to produce an archived document in PRIME.
• Examples of the type of nuclear design calculations may include the following for Westinghouse (W-NSSS) plant designs: 
• RSAC Calculations 
• NDR calculations 
• Startup calculations 
• Interface with functional groups within CE&SD (TH/FRD) and groups outside CE&SD (The safety analysis/licensing groups).

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• BS Nuclear Engineering (other Engineering Disciplines will not be considered for this position)
• Minimum GPA strongly preferred
• Applicable experience preferred 
• Prior Internship experience is a plus

• Prior experience with Technical Engineering Projects and/or Research is a plus

• Strong technical aptitude required – Passion for Technical Design and Analysis

• Eagerness to learn and master engineering software required.

• Engineering in Training Certification is a plus or desire to obtain with long term goal of obtaining

• Strongly value safety & quality
• Eager to learn the design and operation of pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plants
