Position is located: Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital

Work Type:  Full Time

Hours Per Week: 40 Hours per Week

Work Schedule:  7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

This position is eligible for a $7, (minus tax) sign on bonus with less than 2 years' experience or $10, with more than 2 years' experience, with work commitment.

*Current employees of any Northern Light Health organization or those with service breaks less than one year are not eligible to receive the sign-on bonus*  

Summary :

Assists in operations, under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.

Responsibilities :

Maintains sterile operative fields. Maintains inventory of medical supplies or equipment. Assists healthcare practitioners during surgery. Positions patients for treatment or examination. Protect patients or staff members using safety equipment. Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed. May perform other duties upon request.

Other Information :

Surgical Technician Certification preferred. BLS Required.

Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds. Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
